Press   Release
State Farm and Allstate policyholders should consider canceling their insurance while they still have time! ...warns Ron Alford, Consumer Advocate, author of "The Crime of the Century -Insurance," and Executive Director of "The Contingency Plan."
Here's why.
"Consumers who suffer a major loss to their home, vehicle or small business will soon discover that the disaster may not be nearly as bad as the financial recovery process" said Alford, a Contingency Planning expert. Contingency Planning begins by knowing how to mange insurers and the financial recovery process. At present, too many victims are suing Allstate and State Farm for bad faith. Based on recent information gathered from victims and repairers, Alford believes that there are higher quality insurers with lower prices in the marketplace who pay valid claims faster and easier for the victims.

"The average consumer does not have one clue about collecting large sums of money from these titans of finance, especially the elderly, and the low-to-middle income families." These people have no power and do not have an even chance to deal with these behemoth, bureaucratic organizations.

Alford warns, "Consumers should not wait until they suffer a loss to learn the claims process - which is like learning to swim after the boat sinks.

How insurers get away with it?

Alford says, "Insurers train consumers but never educate them. Personal Contingency Planning means knowing the answers (before the loss) to questions that insurers never want consumers to know. Alford educates consumers. He has been interview on over 450 radio and television shows. He is a candid and thought-provoking guest who advocates insurance education in schools and colleges.
