The detailed instructions on what you are to do following a loss is clearly covered in your insurance contract.

All claimant's have the same problem when they suffer a loss. The problem is that your insurance company has intentionally left out the most important part.

The insurance protection for the insurance company is to tell you what you must do to file a claim and then carefully omit telling you how you are to do what the contract says.

Example: The statement "go fly a Boeing 727 is a what to do statement" The problem is how do you do that?  When compared to recovering from a disaster, learning to fly a Boeing 727 may be easier.

Being told what to do takes a minute or so. Leaning how to do what your contract requires can take years if you don't have a support system or the right resources.
